Back in March, I jumped on an opportunity to be a part of the Oak Park Brewing and Paint the Globe Foundation’s silent auction celebrating Women’s Empowerment during Women’s History Month. The challenge was to create a piece of art, any media type, to enter into an auction to support the PTG Foundation. Then the top six earning pieces would be made into labels for a one of a kind limited edition six pack, the sales of which would ALSO to to benefit the PTG Foundation. The selections of art and show of talent was INCREDIBLE. It made me feel proud to be an artist from such a diverse and multifaceted community.
I am extremely pumped to announce that my art entitled ‘THE CENTER OF EVERYTHING’ was purchased and then chosen to be printed on one of the limited edition 6 pack cans! (YAY!)
This entire project has been such a joy to be a part of. I got to enjoy seeing my art on display at Oak Park Brewing along side all the incredible other pieces. I got the thrill of finding out good and early that my art was one that would be printed. I even got to come into the brewery on canning day to help tast, label, and finalize canning of the beer! MY BEER! It was a whirlwind experience from beginning to end and I am just so thrilled to have been able to be a part of such a great cause.
I am so proud of all the other artists who had their pieces to featured as well. To hear more about my lovely compatriots, click on the links below and follow them on social media!
